Our breakfast buffet is available from 6:30am  – 11am daily, and our lunch and dinner menu is offered between 11:30am  – 11pm. Beverage service at the bar is available from 9 am – midnight.

The Elm Tavern is in the heart of downtown Toronto at Yonge and Gerrard in Chelsea Toronto. 

We are a five-minute walk from either TMU (formerly Dundas) or College TTC stations. We are located within 10 minutes of the Cadillac Fairview Eaton Centre, Sankofa Square (formerly Yonge-Dundas Square), Nathan Phillips Square, and Mount Sinai, Toronto General Hospital, and Sick Kids.

Not at all — we warmly welcome walk-ins and locals alike. Whether you're staying with us or just looking for a great spot to eat or grab a drink in downtown Toronto, you're always welcome.

Reservations are strongly recommended for special events and large groups. Walk-ins are welcome based on availability.

Yes, we are pleased to offer several spaces suitable for larger parties and private events. Please see available spaces and their capacity on the Private Events page of this website.

The Terrace, our tree-lined outdoor space, seats up to 100 weather permitting. 

We are pleased to offer dishes suitable for vegans, vegetarians, and those restricted from gluten or dairy. These dietary items are noted on The Elm Tavern menus. Please let us know if you have other food allergies or intolerances and staff can provide ingredient information. Allergens are present on-site so we cannot guarantee menu items are completely free from a specific allergen.

Mobile dining is available for Chelsea Toronto guests. Please consult the food and beverage screen on your in-room television.

At the heart of every great tavern is a wine worth sharing and pints done right. The Elm Tavern offers a thoughtfully-chosen list of wines, craft, domestic, and  international beers, a full range of spirits and signature cocktails.

We are pleased to offer guests a selection of zero proof options as part of our signature cocktail menu.

Yes, all spaces within The Elm Tavern are accessible to wheelchairs and other mobility devices. We are committed to providing an enhanced hospitality experience for all persons and are dedicated to being leaders in providing an inclusive and respectful environment for all.

Underground self-parking is available at the Chelsea Toronto. The entrance is located on the South side of Gerrard Street between Yonge St and Bay St. PLEASE NOTE: the hotel underground parking garage has a maximum height restriction of 5 feet, 6 inches in certain areas and cannot accommodate oversized passenger vehicles.

With advance notice, we are happy to arrange a birthday cake to suit your tastes. We do not permit outside food or drink.

Children are warmly welcomed at The Elm Tavern. We offer a special children's menu. Children five and under eat free from the kids’ menu with the purchase of an adult main course. We offer all kids our children's colouring map of Toronto, illustrated by a local artist. Ask us about our children’s birthday experience that includes a three-course meal and a free chef’s hat for the birthday kid.

Gratuity is not included. Groups of six or more will automatically have an 18% gratuity applied to their bill.
